Scripture Verses Confirming Our Assurance And Confidence Of "Once Saved, Always Saved"

Please look at these Verses very carefully and you will see exactly what the Bible says about a believer's salvation.

All TRUE Believers Are Positionally In Heaven NOW!

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (KJV)

Ephesians 2:6 And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: (KJV)

All TRUE Believers Are Members of The Body of Christ

Ephesians 5:30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. (KJV)
1 Corinthians 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him. (KJV)
1 Corinthians 12:27 Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. (KJV) . . . When we are born again spiritually into God's family, we become members of the Body of Christ. We are united to Christ by one Spirit in the closest intimacy, similar to that which the members have with the physical body: eyes, ears, hands, feet, etc.

All TRUE Believers Are Complete In Him

Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: (KJV)
Colossians 4:12 Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. (KJV) . . . IF we could lose our salvation, we would NOT be complete in Him.

All TRUE Believers Are Accepted in the Beloved

Ephesians 1:6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. (KJV) . . . Do you get this? God's GRACE makes us acceptable in the Beloved (Christ)! NO works of ours could do that!

All TRUE Believers Are Saved By God's Grace, Only GRACE!

Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. (KJV)
Romans 4:4-5 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. 5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. (KJV)
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work. (KJV) . . . The idea of being saved by merit contradicts the very idea of grace. If a man owes a debt, and pays it, it cannot be said to be done by favour, or by grace. There is a claim on him for it, and there is no favour in his paying his just dues.

Grace and Works Can NEVER be mixed for Salvation

Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: (KJV)
2 Timothy 1:9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began, (KJV)
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; (KJV) . . . Grace and works are diametrically opposed to each other. That there are but two possible sources of salvation . . . men's works, as many 'religions' demand, and God's grace, what the Bible declares; and that these are so distinct and opposite, that salvation CANNOT be of any combination or mixture of both.

All TRUE Believers Are Confirmed Blameless Unto the End

1 Corinthians 1:8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. (KJV) . . . He says "blameless" . . . NOT faultless. Blameless does not mean perfect, but means those against whom there is no charge of crime; who are unaccused, and against whom there is no ground of accusation. JESUS does that for us!

All TRUE Believers Shall Appear at the Judgment Seat of Christ

1 Corinthians 3:11-15 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. (KJV) . . . NO one can lay any other foundation, since the only ONE recognized by God has been already laid. This Passage teaches that the believer can work for a reward . . . NOT salvation! If any man's work abides, work that he has built upon the Foundation that has already been laid, he shall receive a REWARD! But if his work does not abide, if it is not based upon the clear and bright shining Truth of the Gospel, he shall suffer loss. If the materials used by any builder do not stand the test of that day, no rewards shall be given.

All TRUE Believers Are Sealed Unto the Day of Redemption

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (KJV) . . . REDEMPTION. . . NOT damnation! Seal in the Bible means OWNERSHIP. IF we are SEALED, we are God's possession. The Holy Spirit has promised to keep us. Will Almighty God break His Promise? NO! NO! NO! Absolutely NOT!!!

2 Corinthians 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. (KJV)
2 Corinthians 5:5 Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. (KJV) . . . Earnest is a down payment! Earnest means the Holy Spirit's Promise that He will fulfill it. He will keep His Promise.
Ephesians 1:11-14 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: 12 That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory. (KJV)

All TRUE Believers Receive the Holy Spirit When Born Again

God will NEVER give His Spirit to someone who is NOT sincere in their profession of Christ! God is NOT stupid!

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. (KJV) . . . The Holy Spirit makes us members of the Body of Christ!

2 Corinthians 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. (KJV) . . . The Holy Spirit SEALS us for God! We belong to GOD!

Ephesians 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, (KJV) . . . The Holy Spirit (GOD) seals us for eternity!

Ephesians 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. (KJV) . . . SEALED unto the day of redemption! For ever my friend.

Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (KJV) . . . The Holy Spirit is in the hearts of all TRUE believers!

1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. (KJV) . . . Again, God is NOT stupid! He will NEVER give His Spirit to anyone who is not sincere!

Ephesians 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. (KJV) . . . Only TRUE believers 'house' the Holy Spirit!

John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; (KJV) . . . What does Jesus say here? Once He gives a person His Spirit, the Spirit is there FOR EVER!!! IF a person could lose their salvation, this would not be true!

All TRUE Believers Are Preserved Unto His Heavenly Kingdom

2 Timothy 4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (KJV) . . . SO many verses speaking Truth! TRUE believers are preserved FOR EVER AND EVER! NO loss of salvation!

All TRUE Believers Shall NEVER Thirst Again

John 4:13-14 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. (KJV) . . . A person who could lose his/her salvation, would certainly "thirst" again.

Revelation 7:16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. (KJV) . . . TRUE believers NEVER hunger or thirst after they BELIEVE God and accept Christ Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. JESUS is the "Bread of Life" (John 6:33,35,48,51). JESUS is also the "Living Water" (John 4:10-14; Rev.7:17). And only JESUS can give us the Holy Spirit which is also "Living Water" (John 7:38).

All TRUE Believers Have "Everlasting" Life

Everlasting = lasting or enduring forever; eternal; existing or continuing without end; immortal, etc.

Just WHAT is it that opponents of OSAS do NOT understand?

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV) . . . It would not be everlasting if you could lose it. EVERLASTING!!!

John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. (KJV) . . . EVERLASTING!!!

All TRUE Believers Have "Eternal Life"

Eternal = everlasting, unending, never ending, perpetual, endless, ceaseless, without end, etc.

Just WHAT is it that opponents of OSAS do NOT understand?

John 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. (KJV) . . . ETERNAL!!!

John 6:67-68 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. (KJV) . . . ETERNAL!!!

John 10:27-29 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. (KJV) . . . ETERNAL!!!

John 17:2-3 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. 3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent. (KJV) . . . ETERNAL!!!

Romans 5:21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV) . . . ETERNAL!!!

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV) . . . ETERNAL!!!

Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (KJV) . . . ETERNAL!!!

1 John 5:11-13 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV) . . . ETERNAL!!!

All TRUE Believers Are Secure in God's Love, Which Is In Christ

Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (KJV) . . . NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING can ever separate God's TRUE children from Him!

All TRUE Believers Are Completely SECURE in the Hand Of Jesus

John 10:28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. (KJV) . . . What more could comfort could Jesus give us than this? ETERNAL life! We shall NEVER perish (in Hell). NO one can ever pluck us from His Hand!

All TRUE Believers Are Also in the Father's Hand

John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. (KJV) . . . WHY can't these people SEE the TRUTH???

All TRUE Believers CANNOT Be Lost

John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. (KJV) . . . JESUS will lose NOT one TRUE believer! AND, He shall raise us up at the last day! Tremendous Promise! BELIEVE it friend!

No TRUE Believers Will Ever Be Cast Out

John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. (KJV) . . . You either believe Jesus or you don't!

TRUE Believers Can Have Only ONE Spiritual Birth

John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV) . . . Jesus has the power and authority to give people a spiritual birth. The Bible says absolutely NOTHING about a 2nd or 3rd or 4th, etc. births!

What did Nicodemus say? John 3:4 Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? (KJV) . . . Just as we can NEVER go back to our mother's womb to be born again 'physically' . . . neither can we ever be born again 'spiritually'. NO where in the Holy Word of God does it say we can be "born again" spiritually, again and again and again! NO where! Anyone who believes this absurdity, must believe the damnable heresies of Dake and NOT the Holy Word of God.

TRUE Believers Can Have Only ONE Spiritual Baptism

Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. (KJV) . . . IF a person could lose his salvation and get saved again, that would make TWO baptisms, not just one. The Bible does not talk about a second, third or fourth baptism in dealing with salvation. It says that there is only ONE. . . . IF a person is lost and then saved AGAIN . . . that means they have to be baptized AGAIN into the Body of Christ. THIS is NOT Biblical! NO way!

TRUE Believers Are Saved by JESUS' Life, NOT Ours

Romans 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. (KJV) . . . HIS (Jesus) life!

TRUE Believers Are Justified By Jesus' Righteousness, NOT Ours

Romans 5:18-19 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. 19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. (KJV) . . . Jesus' Righteousness is given to us as a FREE CIFT, not ever something that we earn.

TRUE Believers Are Justified and Glorified

Romans 8:30-31 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified. 31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (KJV) . . . GOD is FOR us! God is on our side! We are His children! Thank You Jesus!

TRUE Believers Are Predestinated to Be Like Jesus

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. (KJV) . . . Predestination means to appoint or ordain beforehand by God.

TRUE Believers Can Have Confidence

Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: (KJV) . . . When we believe the Bible, we KNOW that the salvation Jesus started in us, shall be completed one day! (John 20:31; 1 John 5:13).

TRUE believers HAVE the Son, so they HAVE eternal life!

1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV)

TRUE Believers Can KNOW We Have Eternal Life

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name. (KJV) . . . You either believe the Bible or you don't!

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV) . . . You either believe the Bible or you don't!

TRUE Believers Can Know One Day we Shall Be Like Jesus

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. (KJV) . . .

1 Cor.15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. (KJV) . . . A body like Jesus' Body, NO more sin!

1 Cor.15:49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly. (KJV) . . . A body like Jesus' Body, NO more sin! .

1 Cor.15:50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (KJV) . . . A body like Jesus' Body, NO more sin!

Phil.3:21 Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. (KJV) . . . A body like Jesus' Body, NO more sin!

Col.3:4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (KJV) . . . A body like Jesus' Body, NO more sin!

TRUE Believers' Mansion Is Being Prepared For Us

John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. (KJV) . . . MY Jesus does NOT lie!!! Does your Jesus lie? If so, you have "another Jesus" (2 Cor.11:4).

TRUE Believers' Inheritance Is RESERVED For Us

1 Peter 1:4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you, (KJV) . . . RESERVED IN HEAVEN for us!

TRUE Believers Are Kept By the Power of GOD, Not our Works

1 Peter 1:5 Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. (KJV) . . . We are KEPT by the Power of GOD!

TRUE Believers Have Everlasting Consolation

2 Thes. 2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace, (KJV) . . . HOW could we have everlasting consolation if we could lose our salvation? Absolutely ridiculous!
