God CANNOT Lie!

He considers false doctrines to be "damnable". Damnable = perdition, destruction, waste, to die, perish, pernicious. Actually, heresies are an abomination to Almighty God! Abomination = a detestation, idolatry. God HATES false doctrines and false teachers and false prophets who spout them shall be punished! Psalm 7:11; 78:58; Pro.19:27-28; Isa.1:4; 32:6; Jer.7:18; 23:16,32, 25:7; Mat.15:9; Mark 8:15; Acts 20:30; 2 Cor.11:4,13; Gal.5:9; Eph.5:6; Col.2:8; Tit.2:8; Heb.13:9; 2 John 1:10; Rev.2:14; 18:3,6; 20:15.

Word-Faith Heresies

Below is a brief list of some of the doctrines of the Word of Faith movement.

A positive confession is believing that what a person speaks can be brought into factual existence. Believers simply speak the things that they want of God and He is obligated to give it to them . . . that is that “Name It and Claim It” gospel. Do they think they are GOD? It sounds like God’s act of Creation in Gen. 1 and 2! The devil is hard at work my friends!

Little gods doctrine . . . False teachers say that man was created to be an exact duplicate of God . . . they teach that men are little gods on the Earth. Does that include the women too??? Sounds like the Mormons! But there I think women are excluded!

Spiritual death of Jesus . . . False teachers say that Christ’s physical death was NOT sufficient to atone for our sin. They say that He also had to die spiritually. IF Jesus died spiritually . . . He stopped being God and IF He stopped being God even for an instant, He was never God to start with. (John 1:1-4).

Revelation knowledge . . . False teachers say that God gives to certain believers (them), apart from the Scriptures, secret knowledge of Himself. This is a modern day version of the ancient heresy of Gnosticism against which the New Testament repeatedly warns. (2 Peter 2:1-2; 3:17; 1 John 4:1-2-3).

Health and wealth . . . False teachers say that ALL believers have the right to walk in perfect, divine health and prosper financially. This heresy comes from the erroneous view that sickness was paid for by Christ’s spiritual atonement in Hell and that prosperity is a cosmic law ordained by God respectively. What utter nonsense! God does NOT heal everyone who is sick or handicapped! 2 Corinthians 12:8-10 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. [9] And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. [10] Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. (KJV) Many TRUE Christians have a sickness or handicap and serve the Lord in gladness! NEVER do they consider that God should heal them! And NEVER do they ask God to make them rich!

Heresy is NEVER promoted in a manner which reveals its darkness for all to see . . but its poison is clothed in familiar Christian language to make it pleasant and acceptable by gullible seekers. The Word of Faith movement slyly and deceitfully packages its counterfeit gospel (2 Cor.11:4) to look like the real thing. It is gaining multitudes at an alarming rate in all Christian churches, including Southern Baptists! Do NOT be deceived by these damnable heresies! BEWARE!!!
