Seeking God, Today's Misleading Heresy

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: (KJV)
One of today's modern falsehoods is that it is NOT necessary for us to seek the Lord. How utterly ridiculous! This damnable doctrine (2 Pet.2:1), teaches they are not required to repent, not required to pray, not required to call upon God, not required to confess sins, or not required to do anything else except believe in order to be saved from sin. BELIEVE . . . BELIEVE WHAT??? To believe that here is a God in a historical sense, does NOT bring us salvation! You MUST believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, suffered and bled and died on the cross for OUR sins, and was buried. He ascended into Heaven where He now sits at the right Hand of God the Father, and one day He shall judge all who has ever lived.

My friend, to fully understand all the doctrines of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, you must SEEK Him! IF you do not seek Him today, you may not be here tomorrow! You must call upon him while he is near . . .because each time He is rejected, He gets further away from you. And it is NOT God who has moved . . . it is YOU!

Consider the following terms, dealing with salvation:
***** 1. Seek.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: (KJV)
Deut. 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. (KJV)
1 Chron. 16:11 Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually. (KJV)
1 Chron. 28:9 And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever. (KJV)
2 Chron. 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (KJV)
2 Chron. 15:2 And he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin; The LORD is with you, while ye be with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you. (KJV)
Amos 5:6 Seek the LORD, and ye shall live; lest he break out like fire in the house of Joseph, and devour it, and there be none to quench it in Bethel. (KJV)
Mat. 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV)
Acts 15:17 That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. (KJV)
Acts 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: (KJV)
Heb. 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. (KJV)

***** #2. Repent.
Mat. 3:2  And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (KJV)
Mat. 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (KJV)
Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel. (KJV)
Mark 6:12 And they went out, and preached that men should repent. (KJV)
Luke 13:1-5 There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2  And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4  Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. (KJV)
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. (KJV)
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; (KJV)
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: (KJV)
Acts 26:20 But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance. (KJV)
2 Cor. 7:8 For though I made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were but for a season. (KJV)
Rev. 2:5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent. (KJV)
Rev. 2:16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth. (KJV)

***** 3. Call upon God.
Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: (KJV)
Joel 2:32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. (KJV)
Zephaniah 3:9 For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent. (KJV)
Acts 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (KJV)
Romans 10:9-14 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11  For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. 12  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. 13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (KJV)

***** 4. Confess.
Prov. 28:13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. (KJV)
Matthew 3:6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins. (KJV)
Mark 1:5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins. (KJV)
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (KJV)
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV)

***** 5. Pray.
2 Chron. 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (KJV)
Luke 18:10-14 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. 11  The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. 12  I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. 13  And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. 14  I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted. (KJV)
Acts 8:22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. (KJV)  . . . see #3, above.

***** 6. Humble yourself.
2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (KJV)
Matthew 18:3-4 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4  Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. (KJV)
Matthew 23:12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. (KJV)
Luke 14:14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. (KJV)
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. (KJV)

***** 7. Hear.
Matthew 10:14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet. (KJV)
Matthew 11:15 He that hath ears to hear, let him hear. (KJV)
Matthew 13:13-15 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. 14  And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: 15  For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. (KJV)
John 12:47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
(KJV)

***** 8. Love.
Mat. 10:37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. 38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. 39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. 40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. (KJV)
Mat. 22:36-37 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (KJV)
Mark 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. (KJV)
John 21:16-17 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. 17  He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. (KJV)
1 Cor. 16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha. (KJV) . . . the meaning of the word anathema properly means accursed (1 Cor.12:3), or condemned to destruction . . . and the very clear idea here is: that anyone who did not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and love Him above all else (Mat.10:37-38), would be, and should be, condemned to eternal destruction, or cursed by God. It expresses what should be done; it expresses a truth in respect to God's dealings with sin, this was not the desire of the apostle Paul. My dear friend . . . no matter what any man's gifts might be; no matter what his wealth might be, or his standing, or his talent; no matter if he were viewed as a ruler in the church, or at the head of a party . . . IF a person does NOT have true love for the Lord Jesus Christ, they could not, they would not be saved. This Truth is in accordance with the declaration of the Scripture everywhere. See: (Ps.2:12; Pro.8:36; Jn3:3-8,18,36; 14:6; Mk.16:16; Acts 4:12; Heb.2:3; 10:26-29; 12:25; 1 Jn.5:10-12; Rev.20:15).

***** 9. Trust.
Psalm 37:5 Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (KJV)
Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. (KJV)
Pro. 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. (KJV)
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? (KJV)
Luke 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. (KJV)
Luke 12:29-30 And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. 30  For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. (KJV)
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (KJV)
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (KJV)  . . . TRUST HIM!!!

***** 10. Obey.
Deut. 11:28 And a curse, if ye will not obey the commandments of the LORD your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye have not known. (KJV)
Deut. 13:4 Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. (KJV)
Deut. 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. (KJV)
Joshua 24:24 And the people said unto Joshua, The LORD our God will we serve, and his voice will we obey. (KJV)
Romans 2:4-8 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? 5  But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6  Who will render to every man according to his deeds: 7  To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life: 8  But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, (KJV)
2 Thes. 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV)
Hebrews 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (KJV)
1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? (KJV)

You must truly believe that the Bible means that you do these things required by the Gospel. (KJV)

Isaiah 55:6 Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near: (KJV) . . . My dear friend, IF you do NOT seek the Lord today, you may not be here tomorrow! And according to what the Bible says, you will NOT make it into Heaven. Do NOT believe these ridiculous false teachers with their damnable heresies! You do NOT want to end up in Hell where God takes vengeance on those who disobey Him. 2 Thes. 1:8-9 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (KJV) . . . Seek Him NOW!
