Moral Decay in USA is in High Gear

God CANNOT Lie!

What does it mean to seek first the kingdom of God?"

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV) . . . Jesus means EXACTLY as He states! We are to desire and seek the things of God as a priority over any of the things of the world. Above all, it means we are to seek the salvation that is crucial in the kingdom of God because it is of greater value than all the world’s riches.

Does this mean that we should neglect the reasonable and daily duties that help sustain our lives? Absolutly not. But for the TRUE Christian, there should be a difference in attitude toward them. If we are taking care of God’s business as a main concern . . . seeking His salvation, living in obedience to Him, and sharing the good news of the kingdom with others . . . then He will take care of us as He promised. And if that is how He has it planned, why should we worry?

So, how do we know if we are truly seeking God’s kingdom first? There are some questions we can ask ourselves.

#1. Where do I spend most of my energy?
#2. Is most of my time and money spent on things and accomplishments that will perish?
#3. Am I really concerned about my service to God?
#4. Do I consider that the results of my decisions will live on for eternity?

Believers who have learned to put God first in their lives may rest in these words: when we truly seek FIRST the Kingdom of God and His righteousness; all these things shall be added unto us. God has promised to provide for His people. He will supply our every need (Phil.4:19) . . . IF we believe Him and trust Him. There is one major thing most people forget though, and that is that their idea of what they need is often quite different from God’s idea of what we need. When we really trust Him (have faith in Him), we will understand that He does things on HIS time schedule, NOT ours, and sometimes His timing may not meet with what we expect. And there may be times when we think we need more assets or advancement . . . while God knows that what really we need is a time of poverty, more loss or more solitude. Any time this happens, we should remember that God always knows what is best for us! Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. (KJV)

God loved both Job and Elijah, but He allowed Satan to absolutely devastate Job, all under His watchful eye (Job 1-2). And God allowed the wickedness of Jezebel, to break the spirit of His servant, the prophet Elijah (1 Kings 18-19). In both cases, God followed the distressing trials of both these men with restoration and sustenance.

These negative features of the Kingdom of God run alongside of a damnable heresy (2 Pet.2:1), which is rapidly gaining ground around the world, the so-called "prosperity gospel.” A growing number of FALSE TEACHERS are gathering followers under the FALSE DOCTRINE that “God wants you to be rich!” Dear one . . . that is NOT the counsel of the Bible . . . and it is certainly not the counsel of: Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV)

Matthew 6:33 is absolutely NOT a formula for gaining wealth. Any desire to gain worldly wealth is covetousness! It is a description of how God works. Jesus taught that our focus should NOT be on this world, NOT on its status and its deceitful allurements . . . Jesus clearly and wisely states that our focus should be placed on the things of the Kingdom of God. WHO will you listen to? Jesus or the devil’s false teachers?
