Our ministry is mainly writing Bible studies, which we send to the prisons. One of the chaplains told me once that some inmates have trouble reading small print. With this in mind, this book will be printed in large print, and it will be in very plain language, so that even a youngster can understand it.
This book has been on my mind for some time. I realize that there are some adults out there that have very little education, and have trouble reading. I have always tried to write plainly, but maybe I have failed those who cannot read well. I want so much for all to have a chance to know about Jesus and what He can do for them.
1 Corinthians 1:27-31 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28  And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29  That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31  That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. (KJV)

If you are one who cannot read well, please do not be embarrassed. You are not alone. I am not highly educated, yet God has used me to do His work. I am not well educated, I am weak, I am what the world thinks is foolish; and yet God chose me to do His work. Through the years He has blessed me, and the many that I reach in Bible study classes and our Bible study books and Monthly Messages. I am glad God chose a nobody like me to be His child and serve Him, for I have received so many blessings from the work I do for Him. I cry nearly every time I receive a letter from someone who begs us to send them books, so they can learn more about God. It makes all that we do worthwhile, for I look back to the time I too was searching for God.

If you truly want to know more about God, He will see to it that you learn the Truth about Him and His Son and the way to Heaven. God loves you, and He won’t ever lie to you or let you down. Trust Him!

Chapter 1

The Bible tells us over and over again just how much God loves us.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV) . . . God’s love reaches out to us, and draws us in to Him. When God loves us, it is true love. True love means you give of yourself. God loved us so much He gave us His only Son, and when we ‘believe’ in Jesus, God at that moment, receives us as His child.  To “believe” is more than saying Jesus is God. It means we trust Jesus to save us from Hell, and from being a slave to the devil.  We put Jesus in charge of our life and eternity. Believing is trusting His words as Truth, trusting Him for the power to change you.
This verse tells us if we “believe in Him” we will not “perish” but have eternal life. “Perish” means to be sent to an eternal Hell. What does ‘eternal’ mean? It means forever, it means no end ever. There IS a Heaven and there IS a Hell. Both of these places are eternal. Heaven is all good things forever, and living with God. Hell is all bad things forever, and no God forever (2 Thes.1:8-9).
With eternal life in Heaven there is no more death, sorrow, crying, pain, sickness, enemies, evil, or sin. God tells us that eternity in Hell will be torment, darkness, fire that can’t be put out, weeping and gnashing of teeth, fire and brimstone, no rest, and no escape!

No one has to go to Hell! Jesus can keep you from ever going there!
Ephesians 2:4 But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, (KJV)
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV) . . . To all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gives the right to become children of God. Anyone who welcomes Jesus into their heart and life,  are reborn, spiritually, they are born again into God’s family! They receive a new life from God, and through faith in Christ, this new birth changes us, from the inside out . . . God rearranges our attitudes, desires, and motives. When you are born of your mother, that makes you physically alive and places you in your parents’ family. Being “born of God” makes you spiritually alive and puts you in God’s family. All you need to do is to ask Jesus to make you a new person. This new life is available to ALL who believe in Christ, no matter their color, their race, their background, no matter what country they are from, no matter your education, no matter how bad you think you are. God loves you! He wants you to be His child! He wants you to live in Heaven with Him some day! Have you asked Jesus to come into your heart and life?

We are “born of God” when the Holy Spirit comes to live in us and gives us Jesus’ new life. Being “born again” is a fresh start, it is a rebirth, and we receive a new family name . . . CHRISTIAN! When this happens, God forgives us for any and all our past sins, and totally accepts us as His child. The Holy Spirit gives us new minds and new hearts, He lives in us, and He helps us to become like Jesus. The way we look at things changes too, because our mind is made new each day by the Holy Spirit. We must not think and act as we did before we became “born again.”
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. (KJV) . . . We will not copy the behavior and customs of this world, because God transforms us into a new person by changing the way we think. It is then that we know what God wants us to do, and we will know how good and perfect His will really is.
Ephesians 4:22-24 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
((KJV) . . . The old way we lived before we believed in Jesus should be completely in the past. We should put it behind us and forget it. Our old life can be compared to filthy, smelly, old clothes that we must throw away. Living this new life is a decision we make when we  accept God’s “gift of salvation” but it is also something we must do every day. We must NOT allow old desires and evil habits rule our life. We are new people, we are God’s children! We must not make Him ashamed of us.
People should see a difference between Christians and those who don’t know Christ. Our lives should show the goodness and love of God, because God’s Holy Spirit lives in us. Jesus is called the “Light.” We are to live as children of that Light.
Ephesians 5:8 For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (KJV) . . . Our hearts were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord, and our behavior should show it! We are to leave behind our old life of sin, for we are to follow Jesus. Living the Christian life is NOT easy. Even if we have a new nature, we don’t always think all good thoughts, speak all good and kind words, and sometimes what we do is not at all what we should do. But IF we obey God, we will change each day, for the better! This change may be slow, but it will come as you trust God and let His Spirit help you live the life God wants for you.
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (KJV) . . . We are not controlled by our sinful nature. We are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. And the truth is, that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all.
Galatians 5:19-26 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20  Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21  Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24  And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25  If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26  Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another. (KJV) . . . Human nature reveals itself in immoral, filthy, and indecent actions, people worship idols and get involved in witchcraft. They are troublemakers, fight, are covetous, angry and ambitious. They get drunk, have wild parties, and other bad things like these. The Bible warns us that those who do these things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
But the Holy Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility and self-control. The Bible tells us that there is no law against such things as these, and all those who belong to Christ Jesus have put to death their human nature, with all its passions and desires. The Holy Spirit has given us life; and we must allow Him to control our lives. We must not be covetous, irritate one another, or be jealous of one another.
Those without Jesus do not care about right and wrong. When they sin, they seem proud of it. They are filled with evil, lust and greed. Getting drunk and having wild, crazy parties to them is fun! They divide into their own little groups. If someone is another color or race than they are, they hate and mock them. No one who does these things will ever see Heaven, unless they change and turn to Jesus!
We as God’s children should show the world that we are a new person, and we are proud of it! Our new life should please God. We should love, not hate, do right and good things, tell the truth, be honest and reliable and good!

1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (KJV) . . . This verse is amazing! Do you see how much our heavenly Father loves us? He allows us to be called His children, and we really are! The people who belong to this world do NOT know God, so they cannot understand that we are His children. When we become God’s children, we should be very happy about it. This is a special and precious blessing from God.

Because God has blessed us this way, we should thank and praise Him every day we live! And we should tell others about what God has done for you. Tell others about Jesus. Don’t ever be ashamed of Jesus. For IF you are ashamed of Jesus, one day He will be ashamed of you! Always be ready to tell how He has changed your life, and how much He means to you! Tell them that only Jesus can get you into Heaven. Tell them that without Jesus, they will go to Hell.
Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels. (KJV) . . . If anyone is ashamed of Jesus and His Gospel in this godless and wicked day, then Jesus will be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.      If we do not tell others about Jesus and what He can do for us, and the world, we are ashamed of Him! Our job is simply to tell. Many will not listen, but it is our job to tell them anyway. We cannot save anyone. God saves them when they hear or read, and trust Jesus to save them.  Only Jesus can save you from Hell and give you Heaven!

Free my mind of all confusion and pain,
Don’t let me murmur, find fault or complain.
Let your Spirit help me do your sweet will,
And please help me Lord, learn to be still.

Show me Lord, where you are leading today,
Let your Spirit guide each step of the way.
There may be storms, dark and overcast,
But if you will help me, they’ll soon be past.

Please don’t let me doubt; keep my faith strong,
Let me keep trusting you when things go wrong.
Lord, increase my faith, O’ that wondrous shield,
That Satan’s darts I’ll be able to wield.

I ask not for riches, nor worldly fame,
I ask just for strength to lift up thy Name.
And show to others, that I really care,
To help with their needs, or burdens to bear.

Let me be like Jesus, my wondrous Lord,
Help me to obey, in willing accord.
Help me to be, all you want me to be,
Lord, let others see Jesus in me.

Chapter 2

Jesus shows us things about Himself or what He wants from us in different ways: by the Bible, by books someone has written, by pastors or chaplains, by teachers. People then respond, in different ways. Some believe and accept what He has shown . . . and these people are shown more, and they understand. Other people will not believe what Jesus is trying to show them, and they simply cannot understand anything about Him.  I pray that Jesus opens your eyes to the things of Him!

Jesus clearly tells us that if we want to go to Heaven, we must be “born again.”
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (KJV) . . . Unless you are born again, you can never even SEE the Kingdom of God
The “Kingdom of God” is personal. It is One on one! You must trust and accept Jesus yourself! No one else can do it for you. It does not belong to a certain nation or race; and what is needed to enter Heaven is to be sorry for your sins and be “born again” spiritually. Jesus taught that God’s Kingdom has already begun in the hearts of believers. We will see it ALL when Jesus comes back again to judge the world and destroy evil forever.
Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: 21  Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (KJV) . . . Some Pharisees asked Jesus when the Kingdom of God would come. His answer was that the Kingdom of God does not come in such a way as to be seen. No one will say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or, ‘There it is!’; because the Kingdom of God is within you.” The Kingdom of God is not like any earthly kingdom that has certain boundaries, such as; from this river to that mountain. It starts with God’s Spirit in our hearts and lives. We should look for what God is doing in people’s hearts, for it is there that the Kingdom of God is today.

John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. (KJV) . . . Jesus tells us that NO one can even SEE the Kingdom of God unless he is born again! We MUST be “born again” or we won’t even SEE the Kingdom of God. That means we can never go to Heaven without Jesus!  God does not try to hide these facts from us. He plainly tells us . . . BUT many people will NOT believe God, are blind to what He has to say in His Book.
Again, I tell you, God loves you. He wants you to be His child! He wants you to live in Heaven with Him and Jesus some day! He loves you enough to tell you plainly how to get to Heaven. And the Way He has planned is NOT a hard one. Even a small child or retarded person can understand it. I have a retarded lady in one of my Bible classes. She has been coming to class now 5 or 6 years. This wonderful soul knows Jesus! And she also knows she must have Jesus or she would go to Hell. God has seen to it that she was born again! She is a child of God! She will go to Heaven some day because she has believed God and trusted Jesus to save her.

I don’t care who you are, or what color you are, or what language you speak, or how bad you were. You too, can be born again into God’s family!

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (KJV) . . . No one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit. “Water” is God’s Word. It cleans you through and through. Our new birth is from Heaven, coming by God’s Word and the Holy Spirit. It is a BIG change made in the heart of a sinner, by the power of the Holy Spirit. God does something in us, and for us, which we could not do for ourselves. He gives us spiritual life which will last forever. Without being born into God’s family, we are in the devil’s family. And the devil will one day be in Hell. God made Hell for the devil and for all the demons, and for all who are in his family. If you do not know Jesus as your Saviour and Lord, you belong to the devil’s family.
1 John 3:9-10 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 10  In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother. (KJV) . . . Those who have been born into God's family do not sin, because God's life is in them . . . this means that they cannot keep on sinning, because they have
The Holy Spirit living within them when they were born again. There are TWO families on Earth . . . #1. the children of God and #2. the children of the devil. Anyone who does not obey God and does not love other Christians does not belong to God.
          1. Those born into God’s family “do not sin” means we do NOT practice sin, or make sin a habit. We ALL will sin at times, yes, but we feel really bad when we do sin, and ask God to forgive us; and if we are truly sorry, God does forgive us.  We cannot keep sinning because the Holy Spirit of God is within us and He makes us feel rotten! He wants us to live a life that pleases God, and when we don’t, He plays tug of war with our heart, and He wins!
          2. Doth not commit sin is first of all, to believe Him, and trust and accept Jesus to save us. Jesus is the only One who can make us God’s child and place our name in the Book of Life. Anyone who does not have their name in the Book of Life will go to Hell.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (KJV) . . . Anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life will be thrown into the lake of fire. The “Lake of Fire” is Hell! The way you get your name in that Book is to be “born again” into God’s family! Again, only Jesus can put you into the family of God and into the Book of Life.
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV)  . . . ALL who received Jesus, are given the right to become children of God. All they needed to do was to trust Jesus to save them. ALL these wise ones are reborn! This rebirth is NOT a physical rebirth resulting from human passion or plan, it comes only from the will of God.
Many people SAY that they are ‘Christians’ yet they do not ask Jesus to come into their heart and life. You must have Christ to be a Christian! There were many hypocrites, or play actors in the days of Jesus. Our Lord called them some awful names: snakes, fools and blind, whitewashed tombstones, blind guides.
Matthew 23:27-28 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. 28  Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. (KJV) . . . The Pharisees were hypocrites, like MANY today! Jesus called them whitewashed tombs, which look good on the outside, but were full of dead men’s bones. On the outside you appear to everybody as good, but inside you are full of lies and sins.
The Pharisees were religious rulers who knew the Old Testament laws very well, but they were enemies to the Gospel of Christ, and tried to keep others from hearing the salvation message that would save their souls. They hated Jesus because they thought He was a threat to them. From the time Jesus first began His ministry, the Pharisees were constant and bitter enemies of our Lord. They would not accept what He was teaching.  They tried every way they could to turn the people against Him.  They were noted for their self-righteousness and their pride. Jesus often scolded them harshly.
The reason I added this part about the Pharisees, is that we have ‘Pharisees’ in today’s time. There are many who say they are Christians. They go to church, some are even pastors and teachers in the churches. But they are like the Pharisees in Jesus’ time . . . all goody-goody on the outside, but inside just plain rotten! Saying you are a Christian will NOT get you to Heaven! You can fool people around you with your outward show of goodness, but you CANNOT fool God! He knows your heart! God knows what you are thinking! He knows what you are going to say before you say it. You cannot lie to God!
He knows your heart, your mind and your soul! He knows everything!
Ezekiel 11:5 And the Spirit of the LORD fell upon me, and said unto me, Speak; Thus saith the LORD; Thus have ye said, O house of Israel: for I know the things that come into your mind, every one of them. (KJV) . . .  God knows every thought that comes into your minds. You CANNOT fool God, ever!
Your heart will show the true you. What you are inside . . . that is the true you! There are some who say that if they had lived when Christ was on the Earth, they would never have hated or rejected Him. But, Christ is still on the Earth! He is here in His Spirit, and He is still rejected . . . they reject His Word and His servants. People have not changed much in all these years. And God has not changed! He still says you must be “born again” into His family by believing in His only Son. God will never change!
1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. (KJV) . . . The new life “in Christ” we have did not come from our mother and father here on Earth. That life will end in death. But the new life we receive is from God through His Son, Jesus and lasts forever. We learn of this new life in the eternal, living Word of God.
We need to trust God as our Heavenly Father. And when we trust Him, we obey Him! We need also remember that God is Judge! If His children sin, He will correct them. What we need remember is that once we are God’s child, we are God’s child forever!
John 14:16-17 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17  Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. (KJV) . . . The Father will give you another Helper, the Spirit of truth, to stay with you for ever. The world CANNOT receive Him, because it does NOT see Him or know Him. But you know Him, and He shall remain with you for ever! Once a person has the Holy Spirit, they have Him for ever!
2 John 1:2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever. (KJV) . . . The Truth (Holy Spirit) that lives in us and will be in our hearts forever.      Once you become God’s child, you are His forever! He won’t ever say tomorrow: “You are not my child.” He has adopted you, He loves you, and you are His child forever! When you do something to anger or displease Him, you do NOT lose your salvation! You lose the “joy” of your salvation, but you do NOT lose your salvation.
Psalm 51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. (KJV) . . . David’s prayer:  Restore to me again the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.
The above words are King David’s words after he sinned with Bathsheba and had her husband killed. He was a great sinner, like all of us. But he was truly sorry for what he had done, and God forgave him. David had lost the “joy” of his salvation, NOT his salvation.
Sin separates you from God. God cannot stand to look on any sin! When one of God’s children sins, and does not repent or be sorry for it, that sin is like a wall between you and God. And until you confess that sin and get forgiveness from God, He will not hear your prayers.
Isaiah 1:15 And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood. (KJV) . . . When you
lift up your hands in prayer, God will refuse to look. Even though you offer many prayers, God will not listen  because your hands are covered with the blood of your innocent victims. . . . BUT you say, “I have not killed anyone.” God’s Word says that even if you hate your brother or sister in Christ you are a murderer.
1 John 3:15 Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him. (KJV) . . . Whoever hates his brother is a murderer; and you know that a murderer does not have eternal life in him. BUT . . . even if you have killed someone, as King David did, God CAN forgive you. But, your heart must be right. You must be truly sorry for what you have done. God forgave David, God can also forgive you.
When you hate someone, you have  bitterness and desire to harm, in your heart. Envy and jealousy can lead to hatred, and God says hatred is like murder. Jesus tells us the same thing in:  Matthew 5:21-22 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment: 22  But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. (KJV)
When you sin against God, make it right as soon as possible. If you are sorry, and ask God to forgive you, He will, because we believe in His only Son. Then, God will hear your prayers again. 1 John 1:8-9 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV)

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (KJV)
1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. (KJV)
Christ died for us, not because we were good enough, but because He loved us. When you feel uncertain about God’s love for you, remember that He loved you even before you turned to Him. If God loved you when you were in that sinful state, He surely loves you now that you love Him back.

Only one thing you can trust always,
Today, tomorrow, and all your days!
Only one thing will never forsake,
Whether you’re asleep, or wide awake!

The love of Jesus, is the one thing,
That will for ever, blessings to you bring.
In grief or sorrow, it’s always there,
To give you strength, your burdens to bear!

This one wondrous thing; His awesome love,
This love comes only from Heaven above!
In moments of doubt, or times of fear,
His amazing love is always near!

When troubles come; be they large or small,
This one thing can surround them all!
When your heart is heavy, and you weep,
His wonderful love, will calmly keep!

Only this one thing, gives joy and peace,
And from the burden of sin --- release!
There is no greater consolation,
Than love of the One, who gives salvation!

We should be thankful for this one thing,
We should praise the Lord, for this blessing!
NO other thing, is better than His love,
There for eternity, from above!

* (3) God forgives us over and over again!
Acts 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: (KJV)
1 John 1:7-9 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8  If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9  If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (KJV)
He will forgive you if you are truly sorry for what you have done. Go to Him and ask Him. He hears and answers, and forgives!

* (4) God has great mercy.
Psalm 103:11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. (KJV)
Luke 1:50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation. (KJV)
To “fear” God is to honor and respect Him. It is to worship Him; love and adore Him. God has always been full of mercy and compassion. We all have felt and known God’s mercy at some time in our life. God pities His children that are weak in knowledge, and He teaches us; God pities us when we are willful, and bears with us; God pities us when we are sick, and comforts us; God pities us when we fall, and helps us get up again; God pities us when we have offended someone, and, when we are sorry, He forgives us. God has great mercy and compassion on all those that fear Him, for He knows we are weak, and foolish.
* (5) God is gentle and good.
Isaiah 40:11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. (KJV)
Isaiah 42:3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. (KJV)
Psalm 25:8 Good and upright is the LORD: therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
God is often pictured as a shepherd who gently guides and cares for His flock. He is so powerful, yet so gentle. He is called a Shepherd (Psalm 23); the Good Shepherd (John 10:11, 14); the Great Shepherd (Hebrews 13:20),  and the Chief Shepherd (1 Peter 5:4). God is indeed gentle and good!
* (6) God is faithful.
Psalm 89:8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? (KJV)
Psalm 36:5 Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds. (KJV)
2 Thessalonians 3:3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. (KJV)
God is faithful, and He will give us the strength we need to live the life He wants us to live. God is also faithful to guard us from the devil. Satan will try to get you to turn away from God because he does not want you to know the Truth about God.

* (7) God is all powerful.
Psalm 65:6-8 Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power:
7  Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people.
8  They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. (KJV)
Psalm 93:4 The LORD on high is mightier than the noise of many waters, yea, than the mighty waves of the sea. (KJV)
Nahum 1:3 The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet. (KJV)
John 17:2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him. (KJV)
This is Jesus speaking in this verse. This is only one place in the Bible that it plainly tells us that Jesus is in charge of all people, and that only Jesus can give you eternal life in Heaven. Only Jesus (who is GOD) has this tremendous power!
* (8) God knows all things.
Job 31:4 Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps? (KJV)
Job 34:21 For his eyes are upon the ways of man, and he seeth all his goings. (KJV)
Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. (KJV)
Ezekiel 4:13 And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them. (KJV)
Hebrews 4:13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do. (KJV)
Nothing we do can ever be hidden from God. He knows ALL things about everyone, everywhere, and everything about us is wide open to His all-seeing eyes. God sees all we do and knows all we think. Even when we are not aware of His  presence, He is there, watching us. If we try to hide from Him, we cannot, because He sees us. There is not one secret we can keep from God, because “He knows the things that come into our minds, every one of them.”
We should go to God in prayer every day and ask for mercy to pardon all our sins, and grace to purify our souls and to love Him more.

* (9) God is everywhere, at the same time.
Deuteronomy 4:39 Know therefore this day, and consider it in thine heart, that the LORD he is God in heaven above, and upon the earth beneath: there is none else. (KJV)
Proverbs 15:3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. (KJV)
Isaiah 66:1 Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? (KJV)
Jeremiah 23:24 Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. (KJV)
There is NO way we can hide ANYTHING from God’s all-seeing eye. Some people must think they can hide from God, by the way they live. Or maybe they don’t think there is a God. But, there is a God and He sees all places at the same time! He sees the proud, stubborn and unbelieving hearts that are all over this world He created. Hearts like a rock; which if they are not softened by His Word, will one day be broken into pieces by it, as with a hammer.  How can those without Christ feel safe, or at peace, for they have an  Almighty God of power against them? The Word of God does not bring a false or deceiving message, only the TRUTH! God wants you to know that with Him you have life in Heaven with Him, and without Him you will have everlasting death in Hell.
2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9  Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; (KJV) . . . God shall bring judgment on those who do not wish to know Him, and  who refuse to accept His plan to save them through our Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot run from God, we cannot hide from God, we cannot lie to God; for He knows what we think, before we think it, and His eyes are everywhere, at the same time!

* (10) God is holy and pure.
Isaiah 6:3 And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory. (KJV)
Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he. (KJV)
Psalm 18:30 As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him. (KJV)
“Holy” means not stained or smudged by sin. “Pure” means perfect and sinless. God CANNOT sin, God CANNOT lie, God CANNOT change. He has always been holy and pure in eternity past, and He will continue to be holy and pure in all eternity to come. What a wonderful God we have! Praise Him!
Habakkuk 1:3 Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention. (KJV) . . . God says: Must I forever see this sin and misery all around me? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight. God hates all kinds of sin!
Habakkuk 1:13-A Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity - - - - - - - - - - - (KJV) . . . A pure, holy God CANNOT stand to look on any sin! That is why we must be “born again.” We ALL are sinners, and we ALL deserve the death penalty. But, when we are “born again” God forgives us completely, because of what Jesus did for us! When God forgives you, it is because the penalty for your sins has been ‘paid in full’ by His precious Son, who died on the cross for you, and me. God forgives and cleanses us from our sins only through Jesus! If we want God to forgive us, we must accept His Son as our Saviour and Lord. God is absolutely HOLY and PURE and cannot stand to look upon ANY sin of any kind! We MUST mourn because of our sin, and confess our sin before an Almighty God and be forgiven by Him before He will accept us as His children. God wants us to turn from our sin to a life that is pleasing to Him. He wants us to let the Holy Spirit guide us in every way so that we may become more like Jesus each and every day.

* (11) God is just and righteous.
Romans 2:2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things. (KJV) . . . God, in His justice, will punish anyone who does unjust and unrighteous things.
Romans 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. (KJV) . . .           The “things” that are mentioned in Romans 1:20-32 are horrible things. God considers ALL sin horrible! God will indeed judge you according to what you have done.
I think that 99.9 % of people believe there is a God, and I think (if they are honest) that in the back of their minds, people also know God will one day judge them; yet they continue on in sin, and truly have great pleasure in that sin. But, worse than this, they approve of and encourage others to sin also. Those who reject Jesus immediately brings the judgment of God down on them. God’s verdict: “Guilty.”

John 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.  (KJV) . . There is no judgment awaiting those who trust Jesus . . . BUT . . . those who do not trust Jesus have already been judged for not believing in the only Son of God. Do NOT turn away from Jesus, do NOT reject Jesus! Only He can save you from God’s terrible wrath; a wrath that is just and righteous.
Psalm 97:2 Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. (KJV) . . . The clouds and thick darkness that surround God are symbols of His holiness and our not being able to find Him on our own. If God was not covered by the clouds, no one could stand before His brightness, holiness and glory.
Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. (KJV)  . . . Heaven will have NO  need of sun or moon, for the glory of Almighty God and His precious Son (the Lamb) will be all the light needed.
Psalm 119:137 Righteous art thou, O LORD, and upright are thy judgments. (KJV) . . . When God judges, it will be fair!
Psalm 145:17-20 The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works. 18  The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
19  He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
20  The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy
. (KJV) . . . If
you call upon God, being sincere, (in truth), He will hear you, and He will save your soul! He takes care of all who love Him, but ALL the wicked He will cast to everlasting destruction (Hell).
Let us discuss further “the wicked.” The “wicked” does not have to be someone evil or wicked, just someone not in God’s will, it is ALL those without Jesus. If a person does not believe God, and accept His Son to save them, they are NOT in God’s will! They are doomed sinners. Those who accept Jesus are saved sinners.

* (12)   God has great wisdom.
Job 37:16 Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge? (KJV) . . . Does anyone understand how God balances the clouds with wonderful perfection and skill?
Romans 11:33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! (KJV) . . . What a wonderful God we have! How great are his riches and wisdom and knowledge! It is impossible for us to understand His will and His ways!
Isaiah 40:14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding? (KJV) . . . When has the Lord ever needed anyone's advice? When has He ever needed anyone to tell Him  what is good or what is best?
Daniel 2:20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: (KJV) . . . Blessed be the Name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are His!
Romans 16:27 To God only wise, be glory through Jesus Christ for ever. Amen. (KJV) . . . God and God alone is all wise! To Him be the glory forever through Jesus Christ.     God does not need anyone’s advice or instruction for anything! He is wise beyond words.
* (13) God is sovereign. What does it mean to be “sovereign”? It means God is above all others; He is supreme, greater, superior to all others. And it also means God can do as He pleases. Some people don’t like this. But, my friend, God will always do what is right and fair to all concerned. If you love and obey Him, you shall receive abundant blessings from Him, both in this life and the life to come. But if you hate and disobey God, He will have no choice but to send you to an awful, terrible, eternal Hell.
Daniel 4:35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou? (KJV) . . .  All the people of the Earth are nothing compared to Him. He has the power to do as He pleases in Heaven and Earth. No one can stop him or challenge Him, and ask, 'Why are You doing these things?'
Romans 9:22-23 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23  And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, (KJV) . . . God has the absolute right to exercise His judgment and His power in the way that He sees fit. But He also has the right to be very patient with those who are the objects of His judgment and are fit only for destruction. He also has the right to pour out the riches of His glory upon those He prepared to be the objects of His mercy.
Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created. (KJV) . . . God alone is worthy to receive glory and honor and power, for He created everything, and it is for His pleasure that they exist and were created. God alone is sovereign. He alone is worthy of glory, honor, praise and worship.

* (14) God has great patience. “Patience” is God’s calmly tolerating our rejection, our stubbornness, our pride, our insults, our complaining, and our out and our sinfulness.
God was very patient with the people of Noah’s time, but His patience finally ran out.
Genesis 7:19-22 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered. 20  Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. 21  And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: 22  All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. (KJV) . . .  Many do not believe there was a world-wide Flood, but the Bible clearly tells us that it did happen. The water covered even the highest mountains on the Earth, standing more than twenty-two feet above the highest peaks. All the living things on Earth died birds, domestic animals, wild animals, all kinds of small animals, and all the people . . . everything died that breathed and lived on dry land . . . except Noah and his family!
God was also patient with Sodom and Gomorrah, but He did destroy them.
Genesis 19:24-25 Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; 25  And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. (KJV) . . . The Lord rained down fire and burning sulfur from the heavens on Sodom and Gomorrah. He utterly destroyed them, along with the other cities and villages of the plain, eliminating all life . . . people, plants, and animals.
God is also patient with people today, but their wickedness is getting worse and worse. They will not be saved either, unless they change their ways and turn to Jesus to save them from a certain and sure eternity in Hell.
* (15) God is a God of wrath.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; (KJV)  . . . God shows His anger from Heaven against all sinful, wicked people who deny and reject the truth.     Jesus is the Truth! (John 14:6).
Romans 2:5-6 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; 6  Who will render to every man according to his deeds: (KJV) . . . People will NOT obey God! Their hard and defiant hearts are storing up terrible punishment for themselves because of their stubbornness in refusing to turn from their sin. They do not give it a thought that there is coming a day of judgment when God, the Just Judge of all the world will judge all people according to what they have done. God’s “wrath” is NOT His punishment of sin, but it is how He feels! It is His holy anger. God does not lie; so His judgment on sin is as good as done!
Romans 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath, (KJV) . . . Almighty God will pour out His anger and wrath on those who live in sin, those who refuse to obey the Truth and practice their evil deeds. Ephesians 5:3-6 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; 4  Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. 5  For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6  Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. (KJV) . . . There should be NO sexual immorality, impurity, or greed among God’s people. NONE of these sins have any place among God's people. Dirty stories, foolish talk and offensive jokes are a no-no. Instead, let there be a loving gratitude to God. The Bible clearly tells us that no immoral, impure or greedy person will inherit the Kingdom of Christ and of God . . . for a greedy person is really an idolater who worships the things of this world. God will NOT be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins, for the wrath of God comes to ALL who disobey Him.
Revelation 21:7-8  He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8  But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (KJV) . . . Consider: there are two kinds of sinners: lost or doomed ones who are NOT forgiven, and saved ones who are forgiven because they have trusted Jesus to save their souls from the wrath of God and Hell.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (KJV) . . .  ALL who believe in God's Son (Jesus) have eternal life. But, those who do NOT believe in and obey the Son will never experience eternal life, but the wrath of God remains upon them. The Bible plainly tells us if we believe in Jesus we have eternal life; but if we reject Jesus and His power to save us, God’s wrath stays on us. If you want to be rid of God’s righteous wrath, believe Him, and turn to Jesus this day. You will never be sorry.

* (16) God never lies.
Psalm 33:4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. (KJV) . . . Only the Word of the Lord ALWAYS holds true, and everything He does is worthy of our trust.
Psalm 146:6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever: (KJV) . . .  Almighty God is the One who made Heaven and Earth, the sea and everything in them. He is completely truthful and trustworthy, and He shall keep His every Promise!
Titus 1:2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; (KJV) . . . This awesome Truth gives us confidence of eternal life, which God promised before the world began. Remember: God CANNOT lie!
Hebrews 6:18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: (KJV)  . . . Immutable    means unchangeable! He has given us both His promise and His oath, two things we can  completely count on, because it is impossible for God to tell a lie. All those who flee to Him to save them can have courage, they can know without a doubt that He will give them the salvation he has promised them. PRAISE GOD!
Because God cannot lie, we have great hope that is like an anchor for our hearts in the storms of life. We know we are safe and sure in Jesus because God tells us so! When you ask God with an open, honest heart to save you from your sins, He will do it.  This encourages, assures and gives us confidence.

Chapter 4

Belief can be a miracle, true,
A miracle, that can happen to you.
It can change your life spectacularly,
Belief gives you life, eternally!

Believing God can erase all sins,
A miracle; that with faith, begins!
We are justified, by Christ’s precious Blood,
‘Not Guilty’ in Heav’n, by this wondrous Flood!

Belief; a miracle, that sanctifies,
By trusting His Word, that never lies!
Set apart to serve our awesome Lord,
Spreading the Gospel set forth in His Word!

Belief; a miracle, that gives a new heart,
A ‘new’ creature, with a brand new start.
Children of God, and with Christ joint heirs,
One day the bliss of Heav’n with God we’ll share.

Believing is a miracle; true,
This miracle can happen to you!
Receiving Jesus makes you God’s child,
From Hell, you will always be exiled!

Salvation is a ‘Gift’ God gives to you,
A miracle; reserved for a ‘few’.
But most, by unbelief walk away,
From the greatest miracle to come our way.

Jn.1:12-13; 3:15-18; Ro.5:1-10; 6:4; 7:6; 8:14,17; Jn.17:17; 1 Cor.1:30; 2 Cor.5:17; 6:18; Ep.4:24; 5:26; Tit.3:7; 1 P.1:2; Heb.13:12; Eze.11:19; 1 Jn.3:1

A miracle is a willing act of God, which He performs. It is a wonder-causing event; which astonishes us. We cannot figure out this Presence and working of God. Miracles violate the laws of nature and are beyond the power of man. Miracles represent the Presence and power of God. Miracles are not impossible; for they are the incredible works of the awesome power of Almighty God.

Why is ‘belief’ such a miracle?

* (1) It makes you God’s child!
John 1:12-13 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13  Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (KJV) . . . ALL those who believe God and accept Jesus, He gave the right to become children of God. They are spiritually reborn into God’s family
1 John 5:10-12 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. (KJV) . . . All who believe in Jesus, the Son of God, know in their hearts that this is true. Those who do not believe this are actually calling God a liar because they do not believe what God has stated about His Son . . . God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.  Whoever has Jesus, the Son, has eternal life in Heaven, and whoever does not have God’s Son does not have eternal life.
John 3:15-16 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (KJV)
1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. (KJV) . . . Do you SEE that God really love us? Do you SEE just how privileged we are? God, our heavenly Father loves us, and He allows us to be called His children . . . and we really are! The sad thing is, that most  people do not know God, so thay just do not understand that we are His children. Wonderful! All who welcome Christ Jesus as Saviour and Lord of their lives are ‘reborn’ spiritually. God receives us into His own family! We are His children, and His heirs!

* (2) Security.
John 6:39 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. (KJV) . . .  John 6:39  And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them to eternal life at the last day.  [NLT]
John 10:27-30 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28  And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29  My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. 30  I and my Father are one. (KJV) . . .  My sheep know my voice; I know them, and they follow me, and I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. NO one can ever grab them away from Me, because my Father gave them to Me, and He is much more powerful than anyone else. So no one can take them from me. I and my Father are one. Jesus  describes the happy state of His sheep; they heard and believed His Word, they followed Him as His faithful disciples, and none would ever perish; for the Son and the Father were one. No one is able to take us away from God for Jesus is able to defend His sheep against all their enemies, which proves He has Divine power and perfection that is equal with the Father. http://www.godcannotlie.org/john_commentary_ch10.htm
* (3) Forgiveness of all our sins!
Romans 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2  By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (KJV) . . . When we have been made right in God's sight by our faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of highest privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God's glory in Heaven. Those who does not know Jesus as their Saviour and Lord, does NOT have these wonderful privileges and blessings God’s children have. We are truly blessed!
Acts 13:38 Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: (KJV) . . .  The Bible is telling us: it is only in this Man Jesus, that there is forgiveness for your sins.        Forgiveness is a major part of justification. “Justification” is when God declares us ‘not guilty’ in the courts of Heaven. When God pardons our sin, He removes the guilt of sin, and the sinner's  liability to His wrath because of it. All sins are forgiven freely because of the work of Christ, and because of our belief in Him and His Work. Sinners are by God’s amazing grace freed for ever from the guilt and penalty of their sins.
Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. (KJV)
Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: (KJV)
Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. (KJV)

* (4) We become a new person!
Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (KJV) . . . A TRUE child of God is not controlled by their sinful nature. They are controlled by the Spirit because they have the Spirit of Christ living in them. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all. We have the Holy Spirit of God living in us, and He is there . . . always and forever! (John 14:16). He is there to help us live our new life, and He will never leave us, ever! God very plainly tells us that if the Holy Spirit is not in us, we do NOT belong to Him!
Ephesians 4:21-24 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22  That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23  And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24  And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. (KJV) . . . We are to “throw off’ our old ways, like we would throw off filthy clothes. For instance: Let’s say you surprised a skunk and it sprayed you. What would you do with those clothes? You would ‘throw them off’ as fast as you could! That’s what we are to do with our old ways of living. They offend God the same way the skunk’s horrible smell offends us. We now want to live to please God, for our “new” self is created in God’s likeness. We should do right and good things, living holy, honest and true!

* (5) We have peace!
Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: (KJV)  . . . When we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. “Peace with God”  is different from peace, such as feeling calm and tranquil. “Peace with God” means that we have been reconciled with Him. We are no longer His enemies. There is no more sin blocking our relationship with Him. “Peace with God” is possible only because Jesus paid the penalty for our sins when He died on the cross. A righteous God cannot be at peace with an unsaved sinner. Only BELIEF in Jesus can give us PEACE with God!
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. (KJV) . . . God’s children have a gift . . . peace of mind and heart. The peace that Jesus gives is NOT like the peace the world gives. His peace calms us and we need not be troubled or afraid. The “peace” that Jesus gives us cannot possibly be matched by the world’s peace! The Gift of the Holy Spirit in our lives is deep and lasting peace. The peace of the world is explained as no wars, no fighting, whereas the “peace of Jesus” is confidence and  assurance in any circumstance. We do not have to fear anything now, or in the future.        God’s peace is so much different from the world’s peace. True peace comes from knowing that our all wise and powerful God is in control, our Heavenly citizenship is sure, and we can have victory over sin. Let God’s peace guard your heart against any worries you may have.

* (6) We have joy!
Psalm 4:7 Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. (KJV) . . . We can have greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and wine.
Ecclesiastes 2:26-A For God giveth to a man that is good in his sight wisdom, and knowledge, and joy:- - - - - -  - - - - - - - (KJV) . . . God gives wisdom, knowledge, and joy to those who please him. “Joy”  comes from knowing and trusting God and is quite different than happiness, which comes as a result of pleasant things that happen. “Joy” is steady and constant as long as we trust God, where we cannot count on happiness. “Joy” defeats discouragement, where happiness covers it up. “Joy” is lasting, where happiness is only temporary; here today, gone tomorrow!
Psalm 97:11 Light is sown for the righteous, and gladness for the upright in heart. (KJV) . . .
Light shines on the godly, and joy on those who do right. All those that rejoice in Christ Jesus, and exalt Him, have fountains of “joy” ready and waiting for them. “Joy” is sure to the upright in heart. God’s children should always rejoice at God’s holiness. A child of God can have joy even in times of suffering!

* (7) We have fellowship with God!
Fellowship” is agreeing with God.  It is great love and affection for God. It is wanting and enjoying His Presence near you. It is also changing over to His image. It is participating in His happiness.
1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: (KJV) . . . We lie IF we say we have fellowship with God but go on living in spiritual darkness.
1 John 2:6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked. (KJV) . . . Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Christ Jesus did.
1 John 1:3-4 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.
4  And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full
. (KJV) . . . We can have fellowship with God the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ if we live in obedience to His Word. .
1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. (KJV) . . . God can be completely trusted, for He has called you to have fellowship with His Son Jesus Christ, our Lord.

* (8) We have direct access to God!
Our relationship with God begins with faith, by believing in Jesus. Belief in Jesus gives us “access” to God. “Access” means we can now go to God in prayer. It means we can go and talk to God any time of the day or night, no matter what our problem may be, or if we want to thank Him for something He has done for us. There are some who do not like to hear this, but God will NOT hear a sinner (someone without Jesus).
John 9:31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth. (KJV) . . .God does not listen to sinners, but He is always ready to hear those who worship Him and do His will. Those who worship Him and do His will are those who BELIEVE God, and accept His only Son to save them. If you do not know Jesus, God will not hear your prayers. The only prayer God will hear from an unbeliever is the sinner’s prayer of repentance, and then, you are no longer an unbeliever!
Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (KJV) . . .  We have this “access to God” because we have been “justified” by the Blood of Jesus. Only Jesus can make us ‘right’ in God’s eyes! Only Jesus can give us “access” to our Father in Heaven!

* (9) We are saved from God’s wrath!
Romans 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. (KJV) . . . Only by the Precious Blood of Jesus are made right with God. How much more then, will we be saved by Jesus from God's wrath!
John 3:15-16 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV) . . . Since by His precious Blood, He did all this for us as sinners, how much more will He do for us now that He has declared us not guilty? Now He will save us from all God’s wrath to come.
John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him. (KJV) . . . Anyone who believes in the Son has eternal life . . . BUT whoever denies and rejects the Son will never have eternal life, but God’s wrath will remain on him for ever. God’s wrath is His holy and righteous anger. This awful anger will come to a head at the Day of Judgment. “Belief” in Jesus is the only thing that can save you from God’s wrath, which will put you in Hell!

* (10) We have hope of living in Heaven someday!
Hope” is a feeling that what we want will happen. It is trusting God to keep His Promises. It is knowing Heaven is yours!
Romans 5:2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. (KJV)  . . . Our faith has brought us into the grace of God in which we stand. We rejoice in the hope we have of sharing God’s glory!
Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (KJV) . . . The hope in us will not disappoint us, because it is sealed with the Holy Spirit.
Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; (KJV) . . . God is honored by our hope and trust in Him, especially when we have great joy in that hope. As believers, we stand in a place of great privilege! We came to this place by our faith . . . and God’s grace. God declares us ‘not guilty’ of our sins, and He draws us close to Him. We are His friends, no longer His enemies.  He calls us His children, and we have the “hope” of sharing Heaven with God.

* (11) We have the love of God!
Romans 5:5  And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. [KJV]
1 John 4:9  In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.  [KJV]
‘Manifested’ means God shows us clearly how much He loves us because He sent His only Son to save us. The work of the Holy Spirit is to shed abroad (poured out) on us. The love of God is made clear in the hearts of each and every one of God’s children.

* (12) We are heirs of God!
Romans 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (KJV) . . . We pay a price for being identified with Jesus, for following Jesus. To live as Jesus did . . . serving others, giving up one’s own rights, resisting pressures to conform to the world, being called a fanatic, we pay a price. But nothing we suffer can compare to the great price that Jesus paid to save us.
Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. (KJV) . . . If we belong to Christ, we are the true children of Abraham. We are his heirs, and now all the Promises God gave to Abraham belong to us.

The original promise to Abraham was intended for the whole world, not just for Abraham’s descendants (Genesis 12:3). All believers participate in this Promise and are blessed as children of Abraham.
As you see, the ‘miracle’ of BELIEF has many wonderful blessings. NONE of these blessings we have talked about can ever be felt or known by anyone unless they turn to Jesus to save them. These blessings are reserved only for God’s children, and you are NOT God’s child unless you trust and accept Jesus to save you!
1 John 5:9-13 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. 10  He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. 11  And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. 12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. 13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. (KJV) . . . If you believe human testimony, surely you can believe the testimony that comes from God. God has CLEARLY testified about His only begotten Son. All who believe in the Son of God know that this is true. Anyone who does NOT believe this are actually calling God a liar because they do NOT believe what God has testified about His only begotten Son. God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has God's Son has life; whoever does NOT have His Son does NOT have eternal life.
John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. (KJV) . . . If you “believe in Jesus” you have eternal life NOW! He is all you need! You don’t have to wait. Eternal life for you begins the moment you trust and accept Jesus to save you. When God makes a Promise, He keeps it! If you have His Son you have life; if you do not have His Son you do not have life!

I know there is nothing I can do,
To earn salvation, by my virtue.
It is a gift, by the grace of God,
Thru’ faith in Jesus, the world abroad.

There is nothing I can do, I know,
My best would place me, in Hell below.
Only Christ alone, holds Heaven’s key,
Just He can give life, eternally.

Without Jesus, we’re God’s enemy,
Dark Hell would be our final decree.
There is nothing, we could ever do,
All our works, God would curse, or beshrew.

Nothing that we do, or say, or try,
Can ever in God’s eyes, justify.
Just Christ’s precious Blood can reconcile,
All our efforts, will only defile.

Jesus did it all, for us, back then,
On the Cross, He paid for the sins of men.
There is nothing you or I can do,
Just accept by faith, His love so true.

I could never gather enough money to buy a home in Heaven. I could never work enough days to earn it either. This is why I praise and thank God that He gives us eternal life . . . free! It’s a GIFT! O praise His Name!

Eternal life is living forever in Heaven with God and Jesus. We cannot work for it, we cannot buy it, we cannot inherit it from Godly parents. It is a very ‘personal’ thing we must do for ourselves. What we DO is believe God and accept Jesus to save us. It is our faith and God’s grace which saves us. It is simply believing God and taking the Gift He offers.
Eternal death is the miserable fate of those who do not believe God. There will be unending suffering in Hell for them, forever.
We need to remember:
1.  No one is righteous, without Jesus. (Rom.3:10)
2.  Everyone, everywhere are sinners. (Rom.3:23)
3.  We are all spiritually dead, without Jesus. (Rom.5:12)
4.  Because of sin, Christ died for us. (Rom.5:8-9)
5.  We receive eternal death, without Jesus. (Rom.6:23-A)
6.  We have eternal life, with Jesus. (Rom.6:23-B)
7.  We must confess and believe. (Rom.10:9)
We need to be saved! (John 3:3)
We cannot save ourselves. (John 14:6)
Jesus did everything needed to save us. (1 Peter 3:18-23)
