Welcome to our website

Some Ways to Renew Your Strength

*****1. Walk with God . . . nothing will restore your spirit like spending time with the Lord. This should be a daily exercise, somewhere that you can be quiet and calm. No distractions, no cell phones, no time limits, nothing pre-planned, no list things you should do . . . just a time when you can be ALONE with Him in perfect quietness! It could actually be a literal walk with God. This will change your perspective on nearly everything! Genesis 5:24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him. (KJV) Genesis 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. (KJV)
Genesis 48:15 And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day, (KJV)

*****2. Cast Your Cares Upon Him . . . while you are with the Lord, it would be wise, if you would cast you and all your troubles into His hands! He already knows everything about you. There is nothing that you feel or think that will surprise Him. He loves you and He invites you to cast it all upon Him, so why not do so? Psalm 34:15 The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. (KJV)  Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. (KJV)
Matthew 6:25-26 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 26  Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? (KJV)
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (KJV)
Luke 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. (KJV)
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. (KJV)
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. (KJV)
1 Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. (KJV)

*****3. Meditate (ponder, think about) Biblical Values . . . choose a Passage, a Promise, or a Verse and rest in it. Consider it from every angle, let it slowly sink deep into your heart and mind. What you meditate upon has SO much to do with your attitudes and actions. Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. (KJV)
Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (KJV)
Psalm 104:34 My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD. (KJV)
Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. (KJV)
Psalm 119:15 I will meditate in thy precepts, and have respect unto thy ways. (KJV)
Psalm 119:35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight. (KJV)
Psalm 119:97 O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. (KJV)
1 Timothy 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all. (KJV)

*****4. Serve Someone Somewhere . . . it could be your spouse, your kids, your neighbor, a church member, or volunteer at a nursing home. There’s something really refreshing about choosing to perform an act of kindness “just because.” If you’re wondering who the Holy Spirit would have you serve, just ask Him. I promise He will bring a name to your mind almost immediately. 1 Corinthians 9:19 For though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. (KJV) John 13:12-15 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? 13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. 14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. 15  For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. (KJV) . . . We are to imitate our Lord Jesus!

*****5. Share the Gospel with Someone . . . No matter what is happening in your life, your whole perspective changes when you cast your burdens onto the Lord, and share the Gospel. Even if you don’t see someone saved, it’s good to know that you are obeying the Lord. All we are required to do is to go ye therefore! Tell of Jesus, tell people what He means to you, and what He has done for you. Daniel 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. (KJV)
Proverbs 11:30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. (KJV)
Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. (KJV)
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. (KJV)
Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? (KJV)

*****6. Rest . . . Jesus rested! So that means that we should rest too! I believe that resting, both spiritually and physically is vital to our lives. Quite often, we just run on empty, physically speaking. Sometimes the best thing you can do is “crash”! Don’t set the alarm. Actually sleep, and don’t feel guilty about it. When you’re recharged, you’ll get three times as much done than if you had continued trying to be productive on fumes!

PHYSICAL REST:
Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. (KJV)
Exodus 20:10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: (KJV)
Exodus 23:12 Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed. (KJV)
Psalm 127:2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. (KJV)
Matthew 8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. (KJV)
Mark 6:31-32 And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat. 32  And they departed into a desert place by ship privately. (KJV)

SPIRITUAL REST:
Exodus 33:14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. (KJV)
Psalm 23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. (KJV)
Psalm 55:6 And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest. (KJV)
Ezekiel 34:15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. (KJV)
Matthew 11:28-30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29  Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30  For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (KJV)
Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it. (KJV)
Hebrews 4:3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. (KJV)
Hebrews 4:9There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. (KJV)
Revelation 14:13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. (KJV)

*****7. Use Your Spiritual Gifts . . . along with your unique personality, the Holy Spirit adds a Divine gift (an enabling) in your life. ALL who are TRUE children of God have some kind of divine gift, which we are to use for His purposes. Do whatever it is that you are naturally good at . . . but do it for the Lord!
If your spiritual gift is to comfort and encourage others, do it! If you have money, share it generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously, and don’t lord it over any one. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it with a glad and willing heart.
It would be impossible for one person to carry out all these gifts. Servers (those in ministry) are faithful and loyal. Teachers have a crucial job, and we must be so careful we do not teach falsely, but only the Truth of God’s Word (Jam.3:1). Encouragers know how to motivate others. Givers are generous and trusting. Leaders are good organizers and managers. Those who show mercy are caring people who are happy to give their time to others. Prophesying in Scripture is not always predicting the future but also bringing God’s Word. This list is far from complete. When you know your own gift ask how you can use it (or them) to build up God’s family. Be thankful for people whose gifts are completely different from yours. Let your strengths balance their weaknesses, and be grateful that their abilities make up for your deficiencies. When we work together we can build Christ’s church.
God’s gifts differ in nature, power, and effectiveness according to His wisdom and graciousness, not according to our faith. The “measure of faith” (Romans 12:3) means that God will give all spiritual power necessary and befitting to carry out each responsibility. God gives gifts to His church, and He gives faith and power as He wills. Our role is to be faithful and to always look for ways to serve others with the gift Christ has given us. 1 Peter 4:10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
